Boat tension springs for mooring

These special tension springs, also known as mooring compensators, are designed to absorb excessive strain on mooring ropes and cleats to lessen the chance of rope break in tough weather conditions when in harbour, port or marine.

These specialised springs are known by a number of different terms, including:

Boat anchor mooring springs
Marine anchor dock line mooring springs
Absorbing dock line mooring springs

Other springs used in the marine and boating sector are hatchdoor springs and springs for winches.
